Since 2013, Life Time Fitness has held Commitment Day to inspire and encourage positive healthy lifestyle changes and to help people reach their health goals for the year. A week of events and classes—including cycle, yoga, and group fitness classes, and events for kids—is hosted by Life Time Fitness across the United States and Canada. The week is centered around Commitment Day, on New Year's Day, which culminates with a 5K. Instead of resolutions, which often go unfulfilled, the day focuses on a commitment to a healthy new way of life. Participants are to choose one positive action for their health to start the year with and are to commit to their personal health.
How to Observe Commitment Day
Celebrate the day by making a commitment to a new and healthy way of life. Set goals and choose one positive action to start the year with. Take part in classes and events at Life Time Fitness, or run their 5K, which takes place indoors or outdoors, depending on location. Go to the day's website to register for the day and to find classes and events to participate in. If you can't make it to Life Time Fitness, you could make a commitment and choose a positive action from home. You could even run your own 5K!
