Particularly Preposterous Packaging Day
Packaging can be preposterous in multiple ways. Have you ever purchased something at the store that was particularly difficult to get out of its packaging? Or, did you ever get something in the mail that was in a box that was way too big, and the packaging seemed wasteful? If so, today is dedicated to you. Those of you who have had trouble getting things out of packaging may have experienced wrap rage. This is when you begin to feel real anger and frustration just because you are trying to open a package. For a time in the mid-2000s, Consumer Reports even gave out Oyster Awards to packages that were the most difficult to open.
How to Observe Particularly Preposterous Packaging Day
There really is no right or wrong way to celebrate the day. You could try to avoid any type of extra packaging you can, by bringing your own bags to the store and buying things that don't come in packages. Or, on the other hand, you could buy something in the most preposterous packaging you can find. You could also mail something to someone that is in a box that is way too big for what you are mailing, and use as much tape as possible so it is extremely difficult for them to open it. You could also watch YouTube videos of people opening up things that are in an excessive amount of packaging.
